A lil something about STMP

My love for clothing started when I was little. Even then, I knew it was a way I could express who I was—and trust me, I did just that.

In my teens, I discovered vintage and completely fell in love. There was something so special about finding a piece no one else had—something I’d hunted down and made my own. It gave me such a thrill, and honestly, that feeling never really left. I became a full-blown thrifting addict, some things never change.

Then came COVID. Like so many other creatives, I needed a way to stay sane. That outlet became Speak To Me Philips.

I know—it’s an odd name! Let me tell you how it came to be.

It was one of those slow afternoons before a shift at the local bakery (apparently, I was an “essential worker”). I was showing Mum my newest DIY obsession—vinyl coasters made from old, scratched-up records. We were sitting there tossing around name ideas, when I picked one up and saw the bold orange Philips label on it. I laughed and said:

“Speak to me, Philips!”

Over the past five years, this dream has had its fair share of highs and lows—a few failed markets, a lot of imposter syndrome—but here we are. Finally.

I’m beyond excited to share my love of vintage and thrifted treasures with you. My goal is simple: to help you feel the same joy and connection I’ve always felt when discovering a beloved pre-loved piece.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

With love,
Jayda x
